The idea that led to the creation of this book is much more than aspirational and goes far beyond the confines of the world of design in which the two authors work.
Driven by a bond with the island of Folegandros that dates back many years, Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda have decided to create a work to pass on to future generations: an iconographic representation of the island, its people and homes, with the photography of Theo Vranas and the graphic design of Stefania Giarlotta. The book inspired the short film with the same title directed by Federico Fenucci and presented at the Milano Design Film Festival 2021.
